Protect the Environment by Bringing Your Own Personal Amenities
In compliance with ”Environmental Management Administration, Ministry of Environment” Regulations, from 1 January 2025 onwards, Shangri-La Far Eastern, Taipei will no longer be providing disposable personal amenities in guest rooms. It is recommended that you bring your own personal toiletries such as toothbrush, toothpaste, razor, shower cap, cotton swabs, cotton pads, etc. Thank you for your understanding and support. Shangri-La is committed to serving as good stewards of the environment. We will continue to support the government's green initiatives and to work with our guests to promote sustainable practices for a healthy planet. Should you need any assistance during your stay, please make request via Shangri-La application QR code provided in the room or dial extension “0”.

Please be advised that the hotel will conduct its annual high-voltage power maintenance from 11:50 p.m. on Monday, 16 March 2026, to 5:00 a.m. on Tuesday, 17 March 2026. During the shutdown, you will experience a temporary outage of lights and TV in your guest room. Air conditioning and electrical sockets at the desk will not be affected, and our emergency systems and guest elevators will be operating as normal.

Guest Room Services:
  • Qibla Direction & Prayer Mat: Every guest room is equipped with a Qibla indicator and prayer mat for daily prayers.
  • Halal-Friendly Minibar: All alcoholic beverages and pork products are removed from the minibar.
    Muslim Guest Room Setup: Rooms are arranged with a copy of the Qur’an, a prayer schedule, and a washlet.
  • Faith-Respectful Décor: Guest rooms are free from figurative or animal decorations to respect religious values.
  • Trained Service Team: Our front desk, dining, and housekeeping teams are trained to understand Muslim guest needs and cultural etiquette, offering respectful and attentive service.

  • Halal-Certified Ingredients & Preparation: All Halal meals are prepared with certified ingredients and cooked in designated areas with dedicated utensils to strictly avoid cross-contamination with alcohol or pork.
  • Muslim-Friendly Menu: In-Room Dining offers a dedicated Muslim-friendly menu with a wide selection for breakfast, snacks, and dinner, featuring both local and international flavors. For inquiries, please email reservations.tpe@shangri-la.com.
  • Group Halal Banquets: For groups of 10 or more, Halal set menus are available with 7 days’ advance reservation. Meals are prepared in a separate kitchen section with exclusive tableware. Prayer Facilities
  • Guests are encouraged to download HalalTW and Halalin apps for information on Halal restaurants and mosques across Taiwan.
  • The front desk can provide guidance on nearby mosques and prayer facilities to ensure peace of mind during your stay.
 
Halal Dual Certification Achieved
Shangri-La Far Eastern, Taipei is proud to announce that it has been awarded dual Halal certifications from the Chinese Muslim Association (CMA) in 2025: the Muslim-Friendly Tourism (MFT) certification and the Muslim-Friendly Restaurant (MFR) certification.
This dual accreditation confirms that the hotel's guest rooms, restaurants, and kitchen operations all comply with stringent Halal standards and guidelines.
